WISDOM TAKEN FROM A LOUISIANA-BASED SALES PANEL DISCUSSION: OVER 100 YEARS OF SALES EXPERIENCE IN ONE ROOM!
As a collegiate sales instructor and coach I have the good fortune of traveling throughout the nation, with sales students, as they compete against other collegiate sales programs. Just this past February, The Service Chevrolet-Cadillac Ragin’ Sales Team of UL Lafayette traveled to Thibodaux, Louisiana to compete in the 14th Annual Bayou Sales Challenge which is hosted by Nicholls State University. Prior to the start of the competition, a panel discussion was conducted. During this panel discussion, roughly fifteen sales professionals from all industries and all parts of Louisiana shared their sales insights with close to fifty sales students.
A few paraphrased 'keys' are below:
Combined, the panel members had over 100 years of sales experience (approximation). Members of the panel were: Steve Barbera – Region’s Bank, Todd Palmquist – Hilti, Dickie Lyons – Northwestern Mutual, Frank Nizzile – Glazers, Buddy Ledet – Arthur J. Gallagher, Doug Robichaux – State Farm, TJ Truxillo – QSM, Bill Hochstetler – Edward Jones, Robby Naquin – Capital One, Joey Hendee – Republic Finance, Bill Barbera - Community Bank, Reed McLellen – Edward Jones
